Nursery Manager Tresillian
I have worked at Daisy Fays for over 5 years now, starting as nursery practitioner, then working my way up to Toddler room lead and then worked my way up to Deputy Manager at Carnon Downs before taking on the manager role at Tresillian in February.
I am thoroughly enjoying being the manager here and feel there are lots of opportunities to develop my current knowledge and to be able to give the best for the children within our care! I am also the setting’s SENDCo which is another part of my role I enjoy; I love seeing the children meet their goals and watch them develop at their own pace! Outside of work I enjoy socialising with my friends, exploring new places and going out for food!

My journey at Daisy Fays Tresillian started just under 5 years ago where I began as an apprentice and after completing my level 2 qualification, I became toddler room leader which is still my current position. The opportunity arose for me to become deputy manager here at Tresillian I was keen to take it on board and thoroughly enjoy working alongside my manager Lindsay. I recently competed my level 3 qualification as an Early Years Educator which help me expand my knowledge within the setting. Throughout my 5 years at Daisy Fays Tresillian I have seen many children grow into kind, caring and independent individuals which has been a great privilege to be part of those steps in their lives.
In my spare time I enjoy taking my 4 dogs out for walks across the fields where I live and spending time at the beach watching the sunset.
Daisy Fays Tresillian is a purpose-built haven designed to nurture and inspire young minds. Our nursery features bright, airy, and spacious rooms, each with direct access to a safe and secure outdoor area. This setup provides endless learning opportunities and the chance for supervised exploration, helping children from babies to preschoolers develop their confidence, physical skills, and self-esteem.
Our focus is on helping children learn, build confidence, and develop their unique personalities. We believe in fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere that encourages growth and exploration.
At Daisy Fays Tresillian, we’re proud to offer a dedicated Forest School experience that brings learning to life through nature. Nestled in a beautiful woodland setting, our Forest School encourages children to explore the outdoors, take safe risks, and build a strong connection with the natural world. Through activities like den building, bug hunting, and exploring the changing seasons, every session is thoughtfully led by trained practitioners who support children in developing resilience, independence, and teamwork—skills that last a lifetime.
Our OFSTED-registered team consists of passionate professionals who are fully DBS-checked and paediatric first-aid trained. With expertise in early years education, they are dedicated to creating a secure and supportive environment where children thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Together, we ensure every child feels valued and ready to take their first steps in learning – like a family.

Put my daughter into nursery to boost her confidence and as a result of their amazing care she is now like a different child. The amazing staff are always so welcoming and friendly and always give a full description of everything she’s done throughout the day. Always feel very confident that she is fully taken care of whilst here for the afternoon!

Really friendly team who seem to genuinely love looking after little ones. Our little girl absolutely loves going to nursery, and has a really great time - she gets visibly excited when she sees staff she recognises. They make going to work and the associated mum guilt so much easier, knowing she happy to be at nursery 🙂

My son has been going to tresilian since the carnon downs nursery closed. Although we were naturally a little nervous the transition was flawless and he immediately settled with the team. The care is second to none and all of the team are amazing with not only my son but all age groups within the nursery. I will always recommend anyone to book in their children to attend here as the kids are so happy and well looked after by all. Thank you for all you’ve done!

Our daughter has been attending Nursery for almost 2 years. She is excited to go in the mornings and always has lots to say on the way home. She has developed so well being there. The staff have been welcoming and so supportive of martha and to us as parents. Thank you Team Tresillian for everything you do.

My daughter has been here from a baby and they’ve always gone above and beyond, couldn’t have wished for a better nursery or staff! Jacqui & Ashlyn always made sure she was looked after from the young age she started! Thank you so much, definitely recommend Daisy fays.

Our 2 year old son has attended Daisy Fays Tresillian since September and absolutely loves it! He’s so happy to go every week and the care he receives there is amazing. A lovely setting and lovely staff.

Our daughter has been going to Daisy Fays for around a year and a half now and she absolutely loves it. The staff are fantastic and we have loved watching our daughter's bond grow with her key worker and the other staff members. We get regular updates on the app and at pick up on what she is up to and it’s lovely to hear about her day. Her confidence and skills have developed so much at Daisy Fays and she has made a great little group of friends there. The facilities are great, with lots of areas to explore. There is a big outdoor space which they are out in every day! The activities are varied and suited to age and the weeks are themed with different topics, which we like to get involved with and continue at home. I love that the food is cooked in house and my child gets a warm meal at lunchtime. The high level of care is just fantastic and as parents have no close family nearby, we are so grateful to Daisy Fay’s for everything they do! Thank you!
