Hi I'm Laura

Nursery Manager Roseland

I have recently returned to Daisy Fays and have taken on the role as Manager; I have lots of experience and knowledge that I bring to the team. I have worked in early years for 16 years and have seen plenty of changes and like to challenge myself to learn about new changes and things that draw my attention. I started my early years journey as an apprentice and now have the pleasure in being a manager.

I live locally and like to spend time exploring Cornwall including visiting local festivals and will sometimes camp. I have a busy social live and like to spend time with family and friends but most importantly love travelling around the world with my husband.

I like to read all things factual especially autobiographies which then leads to me finding and watching a lot of documentaries I know have lots of random facts stored (did you know that octopuses have 3 hearts?) The children request I read to them daily and appear fascinated when I do, some of the older children have also found a passion for factual books which has sparked lots of curiosity.

Deputy Manager Roseland

I have just joined the Daisy Fays team and have taken on the role as Acting Deputy Manager and Baby Room Leader. I have worked in early years for almost 30 years, and I have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience over that time, as well as a great deal of changes. I have been fortunate to work with all age groups throughout my working career and find them all unique, enjoyable, and sometimes challenging - which makes for a fun time.

I live locally with my husband, teenage son and labrador. I enjoy spending time going on walks in the woods, visiting local dog friendly beaches and sampling the delights of the many lovely coffee shops we are spoilt with. My family is small and spread far-a-field, and I spend as much time as possible with them. I have recently started taking trips to visit my sister in the States, and we plan to make yearly trips together to explore different parts of the east coast of America and venture to Europe.

I enjoy spending some of my spare time watching a variety of movies, both based on true stories and fictional, and on occasion a good documentary.

Daisy Fays Roseland is a purpose-built nursery located in the vibrant Chenoweth Business Park, Ruan High Lanes.

Easily accessible from local villages and the King Harry Ferry, our nursery is surrounded by beautiful beaches and stunning scenery, making it a convenient and picturesque choice for parents and guardians.

We cater to children from 3 months to 5 years old, offering bright, spacious, and age-appropriate rooms designed to inspire and engage. Our secure outdoor areas provides ample space for children to explore and learn through play, fostering a love for nature.

Our OFSTED-registered team consists of passionate professionals who are fully DBS-checked and paediatric first-aid trained. With expertise in early years education, they are dedicated to creating a secure and supportive environment where children thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Together, we ensure every child feels valued and ready to take their first steps in learning – like a family.
