I am proudly serving as the Nursery Manager at Daisy Fays Carnon Downs. In my important role, I not only support all the dedicated staff members in their various roles, but I also provide assistance and guidance across all the different rooms within our nursery environment.
I have been a part of the Daisy Fays family since the year 2023, having completed my training at other educational settings prior to the opening of Carnon Downs in January 2024. With an extensive background comprising 20 years of experience in early years settings, my career began as an apprentice. Through hard work and dedication, I gradually worked my way up in the field, gaining invaluable knowledge and skills along the way.
One of the aspects I cherish most about my role is the profound sense of reward I feel while being involved in the early stages of children’s lives, as I help prepare them for the next exciting adventure that lies ahead. Just recently, I have had the pleasure of encountering young adults who fondly remember me as their caregiver during their childhood. This has given me a heartwarming feeling of knowing that I have made a meaningful impact on their lifelong learning journey.

I moved to Cornwall from Sheffield and joined Carnon Downs in November 2024. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and have 4 years of experience in the field.
Since moving, I’ve loved exploring and making the most of everything Cornwall has to offer — from dog-friendly walks to the beautiful beaches — all with my family. I have three girls of my own and live with my husband and mum. We also added a new puppy to our family after relocating here!
I really enjoy supporting the children each day and watching them grow and develop. I especially love getting creative and preparing the room for their next day of learning. I’m particularly passionate about supporting children with additional needs — helping them with targeted support and learning, and encouraging them to reach important milestones.

Established in 2011, our very first nursery is nestled in the heart of the village, conveniently positioned near Truro, Falmouth, and iconic landmarks like the King Harry Ferry and Trelissick National Trust.
At Daisy Fays, we embrace learning through play, fostering discovery, exploration, and adventure. Our bright, open space is complemented by a cosy, homely environment filled with engaging resources; and our large, enclosed garden provides endless opportunities for outdoor exploration – rain or shine!
Our OFSTED-registered team consists of passionate professionals who are fully DBS-checked and paediatric first-aid trained. With expertise in early years education, they are dedicated to creating a secure and supportive environment where children thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Together, we ensure every child feels valued and ready to take their first steps in learning – like a family.

My daughter has been going to Daisy Fays for the last 18 months and she absolutely loves it. The activities are varied, the meals are great and the care and support she receives from all the staff is amazing. She comes home everyday excitedly telling us what’s she’s done each day and has made some great friends. She starts school in September and she will be very sad to leave Daisy Fays. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

We moved my neuro-diverse son to daisy's Faye's from another nursery where he was struggling and his needs weren't being met, and within a couple of weeks he was back to his happy, bubbly self. They have gone above and beyond to help him along and bring him out his shell, the staff are truly incredible

The Daisy Fays at Carnon Downs have worked really hard to settle my baby with separation anxiety in ❤️ He joined at 9 months old and took a fair few weeks to settle in, but now he settles really quickly after his drop off, he loves playing with water, sand and sensory toys and has formed a good bond with the team of staff there, particularly his key worker. They miraculously get him to nap every time he goes! I also love how within the first couple of weeks they’d picked up on his favourite activities and love for books. They are really caring and attentive to every child. Thank you for your endless patience and empathy 🥰

A lovely place for a start for my dear son.He learned a lot of experiences , meeting lovely friends and enjoyed as he always wanted to in nursery.He grown and learned so much singing, dancing, painting etc... so much thankful for the very active and supportive teachers.Thank you, thank you 💕👍💕 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

As family we can’t recommend Daisy Fays Carnon Downs enough, they are such an amazing team. Our little one was so shy and nervous when she started but she is growing in confidence everyday. She has such variety in her day, from arts and crafts, outside play, singing and dancing, yoga and exploring the world around her. The team are patient, happy kind and caring. 10/10

I can not praise this nursery highly enough! My daughter has been here since the re-opening in January 2024, and since day 1, they go above and beyond for our daughter, who is neurodiverse, and I would not take her anywhere else. They cater for all of the children's needs, and plan daily activities to help with the children's development. Lunch and snacks are all healthy and sound delicious! Our daughter now enters the setting confidently, and comes out happy every time, she loves it! The staff are all amazing, and take the time to get to know the children and their personalities! Thank you Daisy Fays Carnon Downs, you have made a huge impact on a little girls life!

Superb nursery run by Hannah and her team. My little has been there for over a year and is thriving. Originally chosen for the lovely green outside space, we have remained there (despite an hour and a half round commute there every day!) because it's such a good fit for my child.

My two year old son has just started his nursery journey at Daisy Fays Carnon Downs. Him having not been to nursury previously as being with family he was quite nervous at first being left and still have tears at drop off but the team are so lovely and calm him down so quickly it makes me feel at ease. He always comes out absolutely buzzing after a great day. They have a lovely outdoor space as well which my son loves and the lunches always sound yummy too. Highly recommend!
